A 6-day Mount Kenya climbing adventure via the Sirimon Route and down the Chogoria Route is an excellent way to experience the beauty and majesty of this iconic mountain. The Sirimon Route is the easiest and most accessible route to Mount Kenya and is a popular choice for climbers. The Chogoria Route, on the other hand, is known for its spectacular views and rugged terrain.

5199m high, lies Africa’s second highest mountain, with gleaming and eroded snow-capped peaks, which can be seen for miles. It is a broad, large symmetrical volcano cone whose diameter at the base is about 12 km, dating between 2 to 3 million years ago.

This route is the fastest for trekkers summit Point Lenana (4985m). It can be ascended in only 4 days and has bunkhouses at each camp so a tent is not necessary. The terrain is usually good, although one section is called the Vertical Bog.
